Shrimp is reds favorite again [Post#: 1022 ] Reply to this post

This time of the year the reds are biting on fresh dead shrimp. They don't seem to like the live mullet right now. With this upcoming norther it should really crank them up. The best time to fish is just before it comes in and after the hard blow has slacked off. Even though it is cold and the north wind is chilly the fish don't care. They don't even care if you are uncomfortable. HA! Since our water has finally fallen out the reds are ganging up in the pot holes once again. Check out several places on Estes Flats, especially in the deeper drop offs and the pot holes. Good catching to you. Capt. Charlie Newton
