warm winter fishing [Post#: 544 ] Reply to this post

If you are interested in fishing in your sandals and shorts this winter check out the
following websites;
Costa Rica at
Guatemala at
Panama at
Belize at
Mexico at
Venezuela at
Honduras at

And, for the latest fishing reports, go to
for Costa Rica or for Guatemala.

Costa Rica is always dependable with great billfishing on the Pacific coast and tarpon
on the Caribbean. It's less expensive than you think. For
less than $2500, two of you can have three days fishing with four nights lodging (none of
them in the city). Plus it's a great vacation spot for the whole family.
Guatemala probably has the world's best sailfishing. Prices there start at around $1800
for a similar trip, with lodging at the new Radisson Villas
del Pacifico.
Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula are prime locations for light tackle fishing. If that's
where your interests lie, that's where you want to go, where a flats grand slam is a
realistic possibility. In fact if your wife talks you into Cancun, you can even sneak in a
day of fishing in a nearby lagoon for $375 per day.
Are you a bottom fisherman? Think about Panama. Most anglers relate Panama to
billfishing, but lesser known is the spectacular reef fishing for 100 pound groupers and
75 pound snappers. A party of two can have a great
three days fishing there for around $2500. Of course if the billfishing is what turns you
on Panama has lots of that, but availability is often a problem.
Give me a call, and I'll set you up with the fishing adventure of a
lifetime. The worst thing that can happen is we'll spend a little time
b-sing about fishing.
