A BUFFALO FISH IS A FRESH WATER DRUM ALSO CALLED A SHEEP HEAD IT LOOKS LIKE A REALLY BIG AWIFE,THE LARGEST ONE I'VE CAUGHT WAS A LITTLE OVER 8 LBS

The "buffalo-fish", another name for the bigmouth buffalo is portrayed in A.J.McClane's "Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes." Actually, it belongs to the sucker family, not the drum family. Its genus/species nomer is Ictiobus cyprenellus.
